In-space Manufacturing

Join our Innovation Talk on In-Space Manufacturing and learn how this emerging field is being driven by technological innovation to sustain manufacturing in both space and on earth

wednesday 13 october at 15.00-18.00

In-Space Manufacturing develops technologies and processes to support long-duration space mission. In the Innovation Talk, we will learn what challenges they are facing in the area and how innovation helps advance their efforts from experts in the fieldThe event will be hosted by the Danish Innovation Centres in Munich & Silicon Valley and the organisation ESA BIC Bavaria.

Why join In-Space Manufacturing Innovation Talk?

The space environment depends on innovative technology that enables us to prolong the duration of travel in space. By manufacturing in space instead of on earth, it will sustain our ability to stay longer in space and support the economy. In-Space Manufacturing helps make space profitable, as it will maximize manufacturing efficiency, increase sustainability and lower costs. A core development area within in-space manufacturing is 3D printing, which is being used to print metal and for recycling material.

Did you know that the space environment creates an ultrahigh vacuum which helps things form without any impurities?

If you want to learn more, the Innovation Talk gives you a great opportunity to learn more about the possibilities of manufacturing in-space. Hear about the experiences from our speaker panel consisting of prominent actors in the field.
